OH EM GEE! I'm so excited I can barely type…but this is VERY important, so I'll try to concentrate.
To Stephenie Meyer superfans everywhere:
Have you read all the books in The Twilight Saga a million times? Are you in love with Edward? Or Jacob? Or Bella? Could you recite passages from the books in your sleep? Then we have some amazing news for you.
We are incredibly excited to announce that we have an once-in-a-lifetime chance for you to meet Stephenie Meyer at an exclusive fan event to celebrate the release of The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide. So, what do you have to do?
1. Head to www.stepheniemeyer.co.uk (this is where we're running the competition)
2. Read the terms and conditions very carefully (boring, but, y'know, important)
3. Record a short film telling us why you're Stephenie's biggest superfan and why you should get to meet her
4. Upload the clip to YouTube making sure to mark your clip private so only we can see it

Hi Kate!
I was so excited to hear the news about this contest, but I think I blew it in the process…
Ιnstead of writing “I am aged 16 or over, or I have my parent or guardian’s permission to enter this competition.”, I just wrote “I am aged 16 or over".
Do you think it would be a problem? Should I resend my video with the complete statement?
Thank you in advance!
Hi Mica,
If you're over 16, then that's absolutely fine! You only need your parent/guardian's permission if you're under 16…in which case you should resend with the full sentence.
Thanks for entering!
Kate, that made my day! :-)
I was worried I missed out on my chance to meet Steph…
Cheers!
I sent an entry yesterday, but now I'm a bit confused, and like Mica above, worried that I've jeopardised my chances for the contest.
There seems to be some inconsistency with the description of what the video entry has to be about and how to upload it to YouTube.
Between this page and stepheniemeyer.co.uk, there is information that says it is a competition to find Stephenie Meyer Super Fans and other information that says you are looking for a Twilight Super Fan.
In my entry I refer to my love of The Host which isn't a Twilight book and in general, my video is about being a fan of Stephenie, rather than The Twilight Saga.
Also, this page says to mark your video as Private on YouTube, where as the stepheniemeyer.co.uk competition page says to mark it as Unlisted. These are two different settings on YouTube. I marked mine as Unlisted, but not Private.
Will either of these things affect my chances?? I still have a few hours to redo my entry if needed. Although I spent so long on my other one I would be devastated if I had to!
I'm really, really excited about this competition and don't want anything to jeopardise my chance as it means so much to me.
I hope you receive this in time!
Thanks
Monique

Hi Monique,
Please don't worry, and apologies from Team Atom for any confusion! Everything you've done sounds fine. As long as you've sent the link to your video to atom@littlebrown.co.uk with your date of birth/parental permission your entry will be accepted!
Ooops! Sorry, should have said superfanscomp@littlebrownemail.co.uk which is the address which will come up if you click on your country from the competition page!
Phew!
Thanks Kate.
I couldn't get the link for my country to work (Outlook pop-ups don't like me!) so I used the alternative one they gave on the page, quote –
"If the email window doesn’t open, please send an email to: atom@littlebrownbooks.co.uk"
I assume that is all a-ok.
I had to laugh when you mentioned parental permission.
:-)
At 33, I may not be a minor, but from the sounds of things, I'll be in the minority for this competition. Lol!
Stephenie makes me feel young and that's what counts right?
Thanks again for your quick reply.
Do we have a winner yet or can I still hope???
Hi Mica,
I'm afraid that the competition winner has already been chosen and the fan meet-up has happened. There will be more details from us later, but meanwhile check out this article from USA Today http://www.usatoday.com/life/b.....PageReturn
I am not jealous at all… :( Maybe next time!
Congratulations to the lucky ones! :)
