With Christmas just around the corner have you been wondering which brilliant books you might have missed? Fear not. Atom has Christmas 2012 all wrapped up – just take this wishlist to Santa and you’re pretty much sorted!
Gorgeous gift hardbacks
There’s something about a beautiful hardback book that’s impossible to resist. Especially when the content between the covers is even better. This year we’re totally torn between the gorgeously glamorous, seriously scary and super-cool 1920s-set The Diviners and House of Night Book 10: Hidden. Both are such brilliant reads we can’t come down between the two but aunts and uncles are always looking for present suggestions so why not slip both beneath their noses.
Escape to another world
Want to completely get away from it all this Christmas? Escape the earth’s atmosphere if you dare with Johan Harstad’s chilling 172 Hours on the Moon, enter a dystopian world in CJ Redwine’s Defiance or fall in love with the adventures of Perry and Aria in Under the Never Sky. And if you’ve not yet laid eyes on Heaven by Alexandra Adornetto, we defy you not to fall head over heels for the cover and unforgettable love story within.
Paranormal is perennially popular for a reason: it’s just so darn good. If you’ve not yet read Rift, a prequel to Andrea Cremer’s Nightshade series, you’re in for a treat while Wolf Pact from Blue Bloods author Melissa de la Cruz is the start of an awesome new werewolf series.
Best of British
Last but not least are two titles that bring you the cream of the British YA crop in the form of Queen of Teen Sarra Manning and the amazing CJ Daugherty. Sarra’s laugh-out-loud funny, twenty-first century-set Adorkable is a right of passage for any teenage girl and Night School is just about the best book we’ve read since . . . well, we can’t remember when. Plus book two is out in January, so you can satisfy the Night School withdrawal symptoms you’re guaranteed to suffer pretty much straight away!
